The Midstate Trail Committee, under the auspices of the Worcester Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club, continues the administration and maintenance of the Trail. The Committee is augmented by a larger group of resident volunteer maintainers, who, like you, are invaluable to the survival of the Midstate Trail. The AMC/Worcester Trails Committee is assisting with hike publicity and recruitment of maintainers. The Committee welcomes anyone willing to help maintain a part of this “close to home” trail. The Department of Conservation & Recreation has provided support, map printing, and publicity over the years.

This year the Trails Committee will be continuing our partnership at Wachusett Mountain State Reservation in Princeton. We do everything from digging in the dirt, clipping branches and painting blazes, to moving rocks, building steps, changing and building trails. Every project is different and has work for folks with all abilities and experiences (including none). Last years trail maintaining workshop, workdays and National Trails Day were quite popular.

Join us at one of this year’s events and get out & do something!!!

Thanks to BSA Troop 33 of Westminster for clearing the trail from Wachusett Mountain to Redemption Rock. Click Here to see their great work....
